Mings Kitchen in Fort St. John

We have been getting takeout here for years. We have had multiple bad experiences at other Chinese Restaurants in FSJ. The best part is that it tastes great and is consistent. They give large portions and have great service. Delivery is quick and food is hot.

I don't like to post bad reviews but this was the worst Chinese food I've ever had. It was supposed to be a special Mother's Day dinner but was tiny shrimp (they called them prawns) in great wads of dough, bland noodles with a few bits of carrot and some dry chicken laying on top for chow mein, strange (in an unpleasant way) ginger beef. The mediocre chop suey was the best thing. We called Ming's and they offered a casual apology and said the "prawns" are always that size. Won't be back.

The food I ordered was Fried Rice Chicken, and Chow Mein, and Ginger Beef. The Fried rice chicken was very old, the bits of chicken in it tasted very old. The Chow mein tasted old as well, to the point that I wouldn’t allow my kids to eat it, fearing they may get sick. Ended up just eating the Ginger beef and dumped the rest in the garbage.I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This place has some good Chinese food, but nothing that makes it rise above any of the other Chinese options in town. One nice thing though is that they are open later than most restaurants in town. It's a great place for your late night fix!
